Visiting this site

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes ordinary web-request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp — to deliver pages and protect against abuse, as described in its Privacy Policy. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in delivering and securing the site under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

There is no advertising, no tracking, no web analytics, and no non-essential cookie on this site, so no consent banner is needed and none is shown.

Contact form and email

If you write to me I process your name, email address, subject, message, attachments, and the resulting correspondence in order to answer you. The form delivers mail through Resend, which states that email and log data on standard plans is retained for 30 days; see Resend's GDPR information. Ordinary correspondence is kept for 12 months after the request is closed, then deleted unless it is still needed for legal claims or a legal obligation.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request and performing the resulting support relationship under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, and my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and protecting legal rights under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Transfers

Cloudflare and Resend may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, that processing rests on an adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism described in the provider's terms. To obtain a copy of the safeguards for a specific transfer, email me naming the provider.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your data, and you may withdraw a consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before the withdrawal. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; the one responsible for private-sector controllers in Bavaria is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA).

Right to object

You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your personal data that is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. On this site that is delivery and security through Cloudflare, and the handling of support correspondence. If you object, I will stop that processing unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or unless the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. No processing here is carried out for direct marketing.
