Local Simulation and On-air BLE
Local Simulation
Local Simulation runs entirely inside the app. It is the best destination for learning, checking controls, validating state changes, and developing without a BLE radio. No Bluetooth permission is requested and another device cannot discover the simulated peripheral.
On-air BLE
On-air BLE advertises through the device radio. The operating system asks for Bluetooth permission when the first live run is started. Denying permission leaves the session stopped and records the reason in the session log.
Only one app can reliably own a given advertising role at a time. Stop other peripheral tools if the radio reports that advertising cannot start.
On Android, background operation also requires an ongoing notification.
Choosing a destination
The destination is saved per target. Switching a target to Local Simulation does not change the saved destination of your other targets.
